So today was the day of the London Marathon, i went in support of Nicol a wonderful lady who has been doing all she can to raise thousands for the supporting children with cancer charity. Her hard work and effort paid off after months of training and heartache along the way, with her sadly having to say goodbye to her nephew Mathias in December, who after a good fight, lost his battle with cancer.
It’s amazing knowing that there will be a story and reason for each one of those runners being able to get the strength to succeed! Such an inspirational day, with thousands of inspirational people, leaving the print of their running shoes in all of our hearts. Well done everyone who took part, your amazing!

Growing up?

i thought travelling while i’m young would be a fast track out of immaturity, but what’s so wrong with being immature?

Within a year i’ve been to Sri Lanka looking into their children’s orphanages, went from that to ibiza to a week of sun, sex and shots. From ibiza i went to majorca on a no frills family holiday. From Majorca i decided i couldn’t stand staying in my little bubble in England so got a nannying job in Kos, Greece for 2 months, came back from that to get a nannying job in Sankt Anton, Austria for 5 months, just got back from that and now i’m going to rhodes in 3 weeks to nanny for 6 months.

Yet, i still don’t think i’ve gained any wisdom, i still say whats on my mind without thinking, often resulting in tears and enemies, i still hate being back at home with my family even knowing that i’m leaving them again soon, i’m still selfish and do what i want to do, even though i proclaim i want to do something with my life that helps people.

Is all i’ve gained from my travels just a liver that is probably rupturing inside my body?

Reality’s peter pan.

“Admit it. You aren’t like them. You’re not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the “normal people” as they go about their automatic existences. For every time you say club passwords like “Have a nice day” and “Weather’s awful today, eh?”, you yearn inside to say forbidden things like “Tell me something that makes you cry” or “What do you think deja vu is for?”. Face it, you even want to talk to that girl in the elevator. But what if that girl in the elevator (and the balding man who walks past your cubicle at work) are thinking the same thing? Who knows what you might learn from taking a chance on conversation with a stranger? Everyone carries a piece of the puzzle. Nobody comes into your life by mere coincidence. Trust your instincts. Do the unexpected. Find the others.”
